ANALISIS MATERI AKIDAH AKHLAK SMP KELAS VII SEMESTER 1 DAN 2 DALAM PEMBENTUKAN KARAKTER RELIGUS SISWA

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the material on aqidah and akhlak (belief and morals) taught in the first and second semesters of junior high school (SMP) in relation to the development of students' religious character. The background of this study is based on the importance of moral education in addressing the phenomenon of moral decline among students. The method used was qualitative research with a library research approach, with the primary data source being the textbook on aqidah and akhlak for grade VII, supported by various relevant scientific literature. Data analysis was conducted through content analysis to systematically examine the material. The results indicate that the material on aqidah and akhlak for grade VII contains basic values ​​of faith and morals that have the potential to shape students' religious character, such as honesty, responsibility, and respect. However, the presentation of the material still tends to be theoretical and lacks contextualization with students' daily lives. Therefore, more innovative development methods and learning approaches are needed so that the material can be optimally implemented in students' lives.
