ANALISIS PENERAPAN STRATEGI DRILL BERBASIS KARTU HURUF HIJAIYYAH DALAM MATERI MEMBACA AL-QUR’AN SISWA SDN SUMBEREJO II PURWOSARI

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of a drill strategy based on interactive hijaiyah letter cards in improving students’ ability to read the Qur’an. This research was conducted using Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative and quantitative data. The subjects of this study were 20 fourth-grade students at SDN Sumberejo II Purwosari. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and carried out in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results showed that the application of the drill method combined with interactive media significantly improved students’ reading abilities. The percentage of learning completeness increased from 40% in the pre-cycle to 68% in the first cycle, and reached 80% in the second cycle, exceeding the minimum mastery criteria. Therefore, this strategy can be an effective alternative in improving Qur’an reading skills in elementary school students.
